Formerly Packaging Horizons Corporation, Alert Security Products was acquired by Primary Packaging Inc. in 2020. Headquartered in Bolivar, OH, we are an industry leader in producing security bags with tamper evident technology. We offer our customers a full service solution with robust film extrusion, flexographic printing and bag conversion capabilities, as well as an in-house design team that can help create graphics for customized bags. We are proud to create a product the provides our customers the peace of mind that their sensitive assets are properly protected. Our products are manufactured in the USA, sold worldwide, and are available for purchase online to be shipped direct to consumer. We understand the needs of companies of all sizes when it comes to protecting their assets, so we offer small minimum order quantities and same day shipping on orders placed by 1pm ET. Primary Packaging Inc. can print up to 10 colors, and offers robust process print, screen print and wide web capabilities to meet your product specifications.
Specializing in Security Bags
Our line of Alert Security Products are manufactured with high quality, heavy gauge, multi-layer polyethylene, and industry leading security features such as tamper evident void tape closures, perforated tear off serialized receipt tabs and an easy to write on information block. Our products offer industry leading protection for a wide range of markets and applications from healthcare to retail to government agencies and departments and more. Our bags are shipped on the roll with perforations between each bag, allowing easy storage, organization and ease of use compared to our competitors. With our design, simply tear away the bags you need as you need them and put the roll back in storage, where it will remain in serialized order.
Our History
Founded in 1974, Packaging Horizons was a manufacturer of polyethylene bags and eventually evolved into the multi-process converter focused on specialized tamper evident security packaging that we are today. Until recently, the company operated out of a facility in Easton, PA, using equipment for flexographic printing, slitting and folding, and specialized security bag manufacturing.
In 2020, Packaging Horizons was acquired by Primary Packaging Incorporated (PPI), a manufacturer of film and bags that services industrial and retail markets with high-quality heavy-duty packaging for demanding applications such as fertilizer, salt, sand, rock and fiberglass insulation markets. PPI is a full-service manufacturer, offering our customers robust film extrusion, flexographic printing, and bag conversion capabilities, as well as a talented in-house graphic design team for custom graphics.
In addition to manufacturing Alert Security Bags with tamper evident technology, the Company prints a variety of security overwrap films with applications in pharmaceutical, medical, and food packaging.
